I had a very disappointing experience with Eye Theory. I clearly communicated that I was in urgent need of an emergency pair of glasses, as I wear daily contacts and do not have glasses. Despite this, they refused to provide me with even a trial pair of contacts when I came in for my appointment and they asked me to remove my daily’s—even when I offered to pay for them. I found that unreasonable and unhelpful, especially given the urgency of my situation.

What made things worse was the complete lack of communication. I was never told that the doctor would not be in, even though I made it clear from Monday that I needed the glasses by a certain time due to an upcoming flight. When Thursday came, they acted completely unaware of everything, despite me having informed them both in writing and over the phone.

They also failed to document my eye information accurately, which is a basic expectation at any eye clinic. Instead of taking accountability, they seemed to expect me to know their internal policies and procedures—none of which were ever communicated to me or given in any form of documentation.

While the staff were kind in their tone, the overall experience was incredibly frustrating and there was a lack of communication..

For your reply message: this wasn’t just about my initial medical appointment but this week as well when I was ordering my lenses. There was a lack of communication even your staff member agreed and said so herself. It’s not about my expectations, but communicating properly to your patients if that is a high expectation to have then ok.

I’m so happy I found this place! I was browsing their website and saw an appointment available within 45 minutes. I called to check if it was still open, and thankfully it was—they were so accommodating! The front receptionist was incredibly kind and helpful over the phone and in person, and the doctor was just as warm and professional. The whole experience felt smooth and welcoming from start to finish. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an eye doctor who truly cares.

I came here because of the good reviews, while the Dr. Tsao is good and attentive during the office visit. The staff as a whole generally take their time in taking care of other things after you leave the office. They sent my rx to the pharmacy at the end of the day even though I had symptoms and was seen in the morning, they also provided my copay receipt after a week. Most importantly I was suppose to be referred to a eye specialist from here and never heard back, after calling several times to the office and asking for the specialist contact info myself I found out that the referral was never sent in the past 2 weeks.

I had terrible dry eye symptoms for years. I was finally able to find relief with the experts at Eye Theory. Don’t think twice to Achilles here if you are also suffering from dry eye symptoms and have been told be other providers that there are no other options.

From the booking process to taking care of parking fee, Eye Theory Midtown, was an excellent experience. The staff was welcoming, professional, used technology to gather data. The Doctor examined gained more data to provide the most informative and accurate assessment.
Plus the selection of glasses is killer.
