The Purpose Behind the Practice
Dr. Amir Karbaschi is a Houston native who is proud to care for the community he has always called home. He earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Houston before receiving his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry.
During his clinical training, Dr. Karbaschi completed rotations at the University Eye Institute in Houston and the Community Eye Clinic in Fort Worth. He gained extensive experience in primary eye care and the diagnosis and management of ocular conditions including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, specialty contact lenses and ocular emergencies.
As a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, Dr. Karbaschi has practiced in a variety of clinical settings, caring for patients with both routine and complex eye care needs. His experience includes the management of patients before and after LASIK and cataract surgery, as well as the evaluation of postoperative complications. He also maintains a developing clinical focus on myopia management, with an emphasis on contemporary approaches to slowing the progression of nearsightedness in children and young adults.
Dr. Karbaschi believes exceptional eye care begins with understanding the individual behind the eyes. His approach combines thoughtful and personalized care with patient education.
