The eyes process different colors of light very differently, particularly when it is dark in the environment. In most situations, the light is a variant of white light – either from the sun, lights indoors, or digital devices. Dry eyes can be very irritating and bothersome. Symptoms caused by dry eyes include intermittent blurred vision, grittiness, and redness. The underlying causes of dry eyes vary, but one of the biggest causes of dry eyes is inflammation in the eyes and eyelids. When...Just had a very ODD experience. Went to this location because it showed up on my insurance as a provider. I was in the area and decided to stop in to see if I could find a nice frame. No prescription needed, since I have been going to the same optometrist for the 10 years and have a recent prescription. I recently misplaced my glasses that I purchased out pocket. So, I figured I would use my insurance benefits to purchase these. Long story short, they buzzed me in and asked if I was a patient I answered no, just wanted to look at the frames. I started towards the frames and and was asked by one of the 4 people at the front desk if they could see my ID. ID?..do you mean insurance card, she responded, "no, since you're not a patient, we'll need to see your ID for our insurance purposes." I'm thinking, is she serious? She was and very adamant! With hesitation I gave her my DL, watched her take it and review it and returned it. I looked at a few frames but could feel myself getting upset and decided to leave. I understand the business is on the rail line, but you might want to consider relocating your businesa if this has to be ypur regular practice. I hate to say that it was racial, but very much think that was the case. I should have followed my firat mind and went to the Bellaire location. Sad thing is the doctor as on of the 4 people standing behind the desk. I recognized him from the website. Eye Theory Midtown, do better!
Dr. Amir is one of the best in Houston. He always takes time to explain everything. I never felt rushed during my appointment. Sahar is always very helpful and welcoming. You truly feel valued as a patient during your appointment. I recommend Dr. Amir Karbaschi to anyone who is looking for an amazing Optometrist.
Amazing customer service, polite, friendly and professional..Sahar the receptionist remembered my name after having been there just briefly with my husband. Dr Amir was an incredibly good listener, very patient and happy to answer all my questions. Very thorough, gentle, humble (despite his clear expertise!) and talked with me through the full eye exam process. The whole experience was stellar. Will not hesitate to return and HIGHLY recommend. Thanks Doc and Sahar for making the whole process so easy.
Dr. Amir and his technician were both very kind and helpful. Dr Amir is so patient and explains everything in detail, he even showed us the images and health of our eyes. He recommends what we really need and not what's going to bring in more money to his practice. The optical is beautiful and they have all the latest technology. They even had a table game for my son which kept him busy. Overall a very pleasant experience!
