You can tell they really care about every patient as they take their time and answered all of my questions. They also had a large selection of glasses/sunglasses. That being said you must be aware of their scheme to pay thousands of dollars for laser treatment of “meibomian gland blockage”. The optometrist used scare tactics such as saying I will have permanent damage and long term consequences if I didn’t take care of this now. As a physician myself (who really pressed the guy at the time bc I was skeptical) I waited a few months to see an ophthalmologist (a physician who specializes in eye care). This week I finally had my appointment and the ophthalmologist said there are no issues with my glands and simply gave education on gland hygiene. She said she has had a few patients in the last months come to her concerned over this issue and then on exam their glands are fine. This saved me a few thousand dollars. Please do no fall for this money grabbing hoax.
I had a wonderful experience with Eye Theory and Dr. Karbaschi. I have a somewhat unusual situation with my eyes, and Dr. Karbashi was very patient and thorough and really helped me out a great day. It was also easy to make an appointment and the location is very convenient. Thank you!
